  • Karen Davidson, AiM ~ From Pastor Sharon Kapsch:

Thanks be to our Great Physician, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, for the phenomenal healing He is giving to Karen Davidson, the Associate in Ministry, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Houston!  He has brought her through surgery and through a time of rehabilitation.  Now she is recovering at home, with the help of family, friends, and parishioners.
Karen had fallen down a flight of steps and broken two vertebrae in her neck.  Miraculously, although the two vertebrae were shattered and cadaver bones had to be grafted in, Karen’s spinal cord was not severed.  As a result, she is not paralyzed.  However, in order to protect her spinal cord until the vertebrae heal, she must wear a neck brace for an extended period of time.  Karen was informed that her injury usually results in the inability to speak and to swallow, which necessitates a patient to be on a life-long feeding tube.  Thankfully, the LORD has delivered her from both of those serious side effects.
Karen is optimistic and most grateful to GOD for His mighty intervention on her behalf.  As a result, she can’t wait to resume her ministry duties – hopefully, by mid-summer.
Please say prayers of thanks on Karen’s behalf.  At the same time, please pray that her neck will continue to heal and that a detected “floating” bone fragment will not harm her spinal cord.
