Partner Synod of the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod: Minneapolis Area Synod

The Partner Synod Program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) matchs up synods of different geographical and cultural backgrounds so that we may share and learn from each other.

 

The Partner Synod to our Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod is the Minneapolis Area Synod. 

 

The Minneapolis Area Synod consists of 169 congregations and is located in and around the “City of Lakes.”  The Minneapolis Synod includes urban, suburban and rural communities in the greater metropolitan Minneapolis area.  It is the largest of the ELCA’s synods and it is home to some of the world's largest Lutheran congregations.
