Our Partners in Hope!
It is our hope that every congregation will find some way of
supporting the Lutheran Church in the Central African Republic (C.A.R.).
Please take a look at the three categories that describe our relationship with the C.A.R. (Education, Health Care and Transportation) and choose one or more of the five projects for your congregation.
We need this companionship — the Lutheran Church is growing faster in Africa than anywhere else! Yet our companions live in one of the poorest countries in the world and we can offer them support. This is good for both of us — a true definition of accompaniment.
On April 2011 Bishop Rinehart along with Pastor Emmanuel Jackson (from Living Word, Katy), Lucky Sahualla (Christ the King, Houston) and Charles Short (St. Paul's, Baton Rouge) visited the Central African Republic. Here is a glimpse into God's work through the partnerships of the congregations of this synod.
Joe Troester's (CAR Missionary) Power Point Presentation
Share this presentation with your congregation. Joe presented this at his workshop at the Brenham Leadership Gathering on August 2011.
